Don’t have the capacity to handle downsizing a living space alone and need hands-on and emotional guidance?

Are you or a loved one moving to a smaller place and you need help deciding what to keep, donate, sell, or store?

Feeling overwhelmed because you have too much stuff for the space you live in and don't know where to start?

I help you strategically and emotionally in downsizing the stuff in your living space

I Can Help!

I visit your space, listen to your story, analyze the situation, and help us come up with a plan of action.

I work at your side compassionately helping you transform your home

"Mary Jane arrived at a perfect time. I was stuck and extremely frustrated at my inability to declutter my surroundings. She seemed to innately know how to help me. She surveyed my home and provided direction, one room at a time. She was tough (having a past occupation as a police officer) yet caring (as a mother of five grown children). She has the ideal personality to help you gain control of your environment in an objective yet sensitive way.  I am thankful for the joy she has brought me and most highly recommend her!"

- Randa K.

How it Works

Service

Phone Call - I get a quick overview of your needs to see if I can be of service.  We then will schedule my onsite consultation.

Onsite Consultation - I like to do a walk-through of your living space while listening to your story and hearing what you hope to achieve with a downsize. We then sit down and map out a plan of action:

  • How many sessions will this most likely take?

  • Is there a deadline to meet for, say, an impending move? an upcoming visitor?

  • $50/hour - 2 hours minimum

Getting to work - We both start to tackle the task at hand. This could involve one room/area at a time, or a specific category of items, i.e. books, clothing, papers, your coffee mug collection. We separate the items no longer serving you, deciding if they will be donated to a charity, given to someone, sold, or thrown away.

Break Time - Downsizing is a taxing process - I always try to incorporate at least one short break (at no cost) for both our physical and emotional needs.

Next Steps - We complete the project for the day.  Then I help you make a plan for tasks we can tackle during any follow-up sessions.

About
Do something today that your future self will thank you for

I passionately support folks who need to change their living space and clear out clutter.

My experience with clutter is personal: having raised five children, I know how possessions pile up! Living in seven different states with a large family meant learning how to organize and downsize successfully. When the time came, I undertook the challenge of sorting and dividing my parents’ estate, and streamlining their rambling log cabin into a comfortable vacation rental.

The satisfaction and relief I felt after accomplishing these daunting tasks was tremendous! These are wise, practical skills that I can share with you. I want to work by your side with compassion, so you can move forward, let go of whatever doesn’t serve you, and enjoy your living space once more.
